Ricky P. Gozali Chosen as Deputy Governor of BI 2025-2030 by DPR: Here's Why
Ketua Komisi XI DPR Mukhamad Misbakhun revealed the reasons behind the selection of Ricky Perdana Gozali as the deputy governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) to replace Doni Primanto Joewono. During the fit and proper test, Ricky presented a concrete vision and mission in carrying out his duties as the new deputy governor of BI. This led the members of the commission to unanimously decide on Ricky as the deputy governor of BI.
Misbakhun stated that Ricky, with his professionalism, understanding of his tasks, and vision for the future, proved his quality during the fit and proper test. As a BI official with decades of experience, Ricky was seen as competent, professionally skilled, and possessing adequate leadership capacity.
The selection of Ricky also resulted in the elimination of another proposed deputy governor, Dicky Kartikoyono, nominated by President Prabowo Subianto. Ricky's appointment will be formally ratified in the upcoming plenary session and then forwarded to the President for official inauguration at the Supreme Court.
Ricky is currently serving as the Head of the Bank Indonesia DKI Jakarta Representative Office. Prior to this, he held various positions within BI, starting in 1995 after completing his undergraduate studies at Pancasila University and obtaining a Master's degree in Management from the University of Indonesia in 2011.
